 Title Base: No Spider-Man
 AKA: Marvel Super Heroes Magazine

AKA: Marvel Super Heroes Magazine: The Avengers
 Introduction

Formerly Marvel Heroes (UK Magazine) and featuring original stories, this UK magazine renamed to "Marvel Super Heroes Magazine" beginning with issue #36, and reverted back to reprinted stories. It made various further name and format changes.

  • At issue #44, grew a third of an inch taller from 8.2" x 11" to 8.2" x 11.65".
  • At issue #47, cover reduced the "Marvel Super Heroes" font size and added "The Avengers".
  • The official name in the indicia still remained as "Marvel Super Heroes Magazine".
  • From issue #82 onward appear to be new material (later reprinted in comic book format).
  • At issue #83 the cover now said "Marvel Super Heroes" (in small print) with "Avengers Assemble".
  • At issue #85 the Marvel Super Heroes was dropped entirely, and the magazine officially changed name.

But Spidey was long gone by that time.

Back in the "Marvel Heroes" days, Spider-Man made occasional appearances in the reprints, and also appeared in some of the puzzles and games.

But with the transition to "Marvel Super Heroes" and then the refocus on "Avengers", the references to Spider-Man became fewer and further between.

In issue #70, Spider-Man appears only as a piece of fan art drawn by Kieran and Layla Peers, aged 11 and 6.

And then, in issue #71, there is finally no Spider-Man at all. Not a thing. He does make a cameo appearance as Peter Parker in the issue #76/#77 reprint of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Vol. 3) #4 and then Spidey is gone for good.
