This issue starts several days ago with Jigsaw robbing a safe when Tygra interrupts and stops him. Tygra quickly subdues him until the police arrive and shoot at them, in the confusion Jigsaw escapes and finds a note addressed to him with an address and a time. Later at the meeting The Hood explains that he's in charge and things are going to change for all of them. The Hood has a vision, they are going to organise and work together and take advantage of recent events, if someone wants to do something they go through him and he'll take care of the plan. The Hood also let them know if they are having any problems with any superhero they should go to him and he will take care of it Triad style, by killing the heroes' family and breaking their spirit. The Hood also tells the gang that John is in charge when he's not around. Jigsaw asks how will he be able get to the heroes families when they have tried before. The Hood tells him he managed to find everyone here so that wouldn't be a problem and he knows what Jigsaw wants.

Later we see Tygra in her human form talking to her mother on her mobile phone. Once she gets home The Hood appears and makes an example of her. He calls her mother and tells her to say "Hi". The Hood then warns her to stay away from his men or he'll kill everyone she knows and then he'll kill her, meanwhile Jigsaw is filming the whole thing. Later in a bar The Hoods team are playing back Jigsaws video, when Chemistro tells John that The Owl is trying to sell something without permission and someone should make an example out of him.

Back in the present the gang are discussing what to do with Deathlok, and launching him at the Avengers Tower is a waste of time as there's no profit in it. They decide to use him to rob a bank. We see Deathlok and the others robbing the bank but Deathlok gets trashed. Later at The Hoods base the gang are counting their heist, when the news interrupts advising there is a symbiote invasion. The Hood sees this as a grand opportunity...

General Comments

Ok first off again this issue was not what I was expecting, the awesome cover shows Wolverine covered in a symbiote, but issue he appears for one panel on the last page like this. Still this is a minor nitpick I guess I miss the days when the covers would give you a clue what the story was about. I'm very interested in the way The Hood does business, whereas The Kingpin would sit back and take the cut and do nothing, The Hood is the very active in what's happening and what's going to happen. Again the art and script were spot on and the scene with Tygra was handled with class and not glorified violence against women.

Overall Rating

4 webs but only cause I like the way The Hood is being used.
