Background

UK publisher Parragon Book Service, Ltd. picked up a license to product Marvel activity books in 2012, and produced a steady stream of material over the following few years.

They created a single pool of artwork, and then have adapted and reworked it over time. In New Zealand and Australia, they have produced a lot of crossover material with Scholastic Australia, Inc..

Story Details

This "Avenger Action Activities" activity book is 8.5" x 10.6". Square-bound with 32 pages.

Spider-Man gets a spot on the cover, but he has to share the limelight with Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk. Even so, the web-slinger and his foes are the stars of 8 of those 32 pages.

There are puzzles, games, and coloring, all in color (except where you need to add the coloring).

General Comments

This book was UK market only, and was priced at £3.99.

There are no extra components or gimmicks on this book, which makes the asking price seem a little on the steep side for only 32 pages. Still, there's no fault with the quality.

Decent book, fair price. Three webs.

Footnote

The cover promises "powerful puzzles". I guess the advertising guys had run out of sensible things to say about this book after years of producing minor variations on the same product.

I know that I have certainly run out of anything original or insightful to add.
