  Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #38 (Story 2)
Summary: Mini Marvel Spider-Man appears
Editor: Nathan Crosby
Writer: Chris Garrusso
Artist: Chris Garrusso

We are treated to four classic Mini-Marvel strips.

First up Cyclops informs Spidey that being a paperboy is dirty work, because the print on the newspaper doesn't ever really dry, and will rub off on him. Spidey notices that his red-and blue costume has now turned black effecting the Venom suit.

Next, Spidey is beginning to like his new (black) suit because it has enhanced his strength, obeys his thoughts, creates its own webbing, and has cable.

Spidey is complaining to Wolverine that he isn't so happy with his suit, because it is acting out on its own and he really can't take it off. Whereupon, Wolverine remarks that Spidey is really quite ripe, and could use a shower.

By now, a Venom head has separated from Spidey, and is poking out from his right shoulder. Spidey seeks the help of Professor X, who suggests that perhaps Reed Richards can help. Wolverine, always impressed with his own problem-solving abilities, simply slices the head off Spidey. Needless to say, the head slithers off Wolvie's claws and reattaches itself to Spidey's shoulder. The last panel of the strip has Wolvering phoning Richards himself.

General Comments

This is really very funny stuff A fine comedic break in the midst of dad-to-day calamity that is Spidey's regular life.

Overall Rating

You simply can't go wrong with Mini Marvels, so even those these are repeats; they are still fun, and enjoyable.
