Movie Ups and Downs...

Well, I've been getting some E-mail concerning the movie. Check out these rumours...

From MDogg922...

I just wanted to let you know on what I jst found out today...and believe me I hope it is 100% untrue...I heard Jim Cameron has abandoned the Spidey movie due to the legal problems...this wwould totally suck.,..but I dont believe it...I got this news from the James Cameron message board...for all we know this can be just the ranting of a madman...

But another writer says...

A friend of mine who works on "the street" told me that HBO is going to be sinking millions into Marvel and is going to be developing projects with them to help keep them afloat - looking at their recent share price he said "BUY!"

But more interestingly... a writer who wishes to remain an omnibus tells me...

I know these guys that work for James Cameron. I actually managed to get to read the Spider-Man script. Personally I didn't care for it. The thing is that Cameron is not willing to give up the script nor is he willing to change it to Marvel's requests. He still wants to make the movie very badly but he won't do it following Titanic. I have a feeling his script will fade away and we'll have to wait quite a few years before Spider-Man hits the big screen.

Another thing that is missing from the studio is a 4:00 min. teaser that was made about 6 years ago (I think it was 6 years). The Teaser contained a fight scene with the Wild Pack and the Sandman. It was filmed in very low light and used a lot of ILM special effects. It ends in the middle of the fight just as Spider-Man swings down and kicks through Sandman. Someone has stolen it and I've been trying to find it on the web. Anyway, I love the page!

Fascinating...!
