Whether you're punching on object that is entirely too hot or one that is entirely dense, you need to protect your knuckles. In the case of Spider-Man vs. the Molten Man in Amazing Spider-Man #132, it was a case of something too dense and too hot! Spider-Man then used his webbing to make web-boxing gloves to take on Raxton and spare his hands in the process!
