Random 2 A.M. Thoughts

It's early in the morning and I have to work tomorrow, so what better time to discuss a few unsolicited ideas about Spidey stories.

The Elementals

The group name appeals to me but my opinions are usually considered corny. (Is it as bad as "Earth Wind and Fire?") The name may even be taken, I have no idea. I want to see a team made up of Sandman, Hydro-Man and Molten Man. We need a wind villain, but none come to mind. Maybe Cyclone but he's dead. His powers weren't even innate so it feels like a break from the theme. Whirlwind could work but he...just kind of sucks. I know that Molten Man is reformed and lost his powers but that's never stopped a character from reverting to type. Sandman can go good or bad and Hydro-Man is a dedicated crook, so we at least have some personality conflicts and good drama.

I just realized that "The Elementals" is from "Far From Home." Oops.

Spider-Man: Green

I know that Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale are done with the "color books," but I'd love to see a story based on Peter and Harry in their college days dealing with envy of each other. Peter envies Harry for having money, a father (who is also a scientist) and no burden of responsibility. Harry of course envies Peter for his loving aunt, no high expectations of eventually running OsCorp, scientific brilliance, no drug addiction and ease of finding girlfriends. That's all I have in terms of plot, obviously Loeb is a much better writer than I am.

Bad Guy Babies

I have no idea what else to call this idea. I just realized how many offspring of villains (roughly the same age) there are: Billy Connors, Normie Osborn, Dylan Brock, Ana Kravinoff, Stanley Osborn, Keemia Marko and Tiana Toomes. (Jason Macendale had a son with his ex-wife, but he never got enough exposure to be interesting.) The Osborn kids and Keemia are the youngest and the others are probably high school age or a little older. Seeing them as adults in a issue that takes place in the future would be interesting to read.
