Welcome to our letters page. These letters are answered by Jonathan Couper, who uses them as a chance to sharpen his otherwise dull wit. If you want a serious response, your chances will be increased by posing your question, respectfully, to our Spider-Oracle.

From Tracy

My name is Tracy Fisher and I'm a huge fan of Spider-man and especially the Ultimate comics. My site is a trifle out of date, and the art is a bit old (about 3 years now) BUT It is a HUGE collection of Ultimate Peter Parker!

If you want to take a look - it's located in the Spider-man section in this gallery: http://www.angelfire.com/ny/LynxBlade/ParkerPics.html

My personal favourite is the shot of Peter jumping over a gap between two buildings - it was done for Wizard's Draw the Cover contest, but I missed the chance to submit it.

That's a fantatic piece! We've added it to our Fans : Art section, along with the rest of the contributions we received towards the end of 2003. We've got new art by you (of course), plus a guy known only as ZoneZ. We've also got a second contribution from former fan artist Adam McCaffery, and a whole new batch of stuff from regular Willi Gerrard.

Thanks to ya all! We have another batch all ready to go up next month too. We love fan art.

From Shathra

I want to ask you about the (Spider Wasp) Shathra, why did they call her Shathra? and from where did they get this name?

Shathra is an Arabic name, which means little pieces of gold.

Hey, that's a cool little snippet of information! I don't know if JMS knew that when he chose the name, or if maybe he just read saw the name in a book somewhere and thought it sounded like a great name for a Spider-Wasp.

From The Editor

Sorry folks, but due to a series of power cuts and subsequent hard-disk failure, that's it for the letters this month. If you sent me a letter between Jan 13th and Feb 19th, then please feel free to re-send it.

We'll be back next month with more letters.
