THIS MY FIRST CONTACT, I'M WRITING FROM BRAZIL, AND DON'T HAVE REASONS TO BE PROUD OF MY ENGLISH, S0 SORRY ! I'M WORKING ON IT...

I JUST WANNA KNOW IF THE COLLECTION "ESSENTIAL SPIDER-MAN" WILL GO ON. THE # 6 IS ARRIVING ? I HAVE THE FIVE FIRST ISSUES, AND WANNA BUY THE NEXT.

Hey, no need to shout... we hear you loud and clear!

I hear that there is an Essential #6 in planning. It's tentatively scheduled to include AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #114-137, GIANT-SIZE SUPER-HEROES #1, GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN #1 and GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN #2. No release dates at this stage; I believe it is just in the proposal stage.

From THRTZN

I would like to know if they are going to make volumes of the Essential Spider-Man that covers all the Amazing Spider-Man issues.

My guess is that as long as people keep buying them, new ones will keep coming out. They seem very popular. They're a great way for new fans to read the back issues, and dedicated fans like myself often buy them so that we can read all those classic issues without having to break valuable comics out of mylar all the time.

From TDEVERAL

How many times has the Green Goblin _Norman Osborn_ been killed_.

None, it would seem!

From Johnny

I want to know is it true that Todd MacFarlane will returned into "Spider-Man" comicbook.

You mean, like, "The Amazing Todd MacFarlane-Man?". Hmm... I wouldn't buy it!

From Nannette

I am writing this for my 6 year old grandson who is a #1 Spider-man fan. He has written to Marvel and have never "heard" back from Spider-Man, I am hoping you can "help" him hear from Spider-Man. The following is in his words.

Dear Spider-Man,

My name is A.J. and I am 6 years old. I am your biggest fan. I saw you on stage at the FOX Theater 2 weeks ago, I am sorry we did not get to shake hands. I have posters of you. If you want to you can come to my house and have dinner then we can play and do what you want so you can have some fun. How is New York? I am going to be in Baltimore soon and back at the hospital, Mom and Grandma say that is not far from New York maybe I can see you there. I live in Missouri that is far from New York. My phone number is [snipped-for-privacy] if you want to call me, but you can e-mail me its cheaper. I think you are cool and the best superhero there is. I have a lot of Spiderman stuff, 3 coloring books, game, clothes, costume, books and comic books.

Your Friend, A.J.

Hiya A.J.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. As you may have seen recently, I have been in Los Angeles, battling Doctor Octopus, and a really bad guy named Mr. Carlyle, who made some arms like Ock's, but even more powerful, with weapons on the end of each arm.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I love doing shows like that, for all my fans. Really, I should be out trying to find out what happened to Venom, but it's really great to meet my fans, too.

Baltimore is still a long way from New York. And you know, it's really hard to get to meet my fans. When I'm not fighting guys like the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, or Venom, then Mary Jane keeps wanting me to take her out to dinner!

Hey, my Spider-Sense is going off. I think those guys across the road at the bank are setting it off. They look pretty suspicious with those masks on. Gotta go.

Your Pal,

Spidey.

P.S. Better not to give your phone number to people on the Internet. There are all sorts of crooks about. Best just to use your email address, OK?

Will there ever be a conclusion to the black-cat mini series?

Well, possibly. Will everybody be really pissed off at Kevin Smith by the time it comes out? Almost certainly!

How hard can it be for Marvel to make sure that all of a four-part series is going to be written before they start releasing it? It's a great story, but it got hammered in our "Best L.S. of 2002" poll, purely because it was running so late.

I don't know what happened to Kevin Smith's Daredevil/Bullseye #2 either, it sure hasn't turned up at my comic shop!

From Holger

I now have one question I hope you can help me with. I have just read Spider-Man/Black Cat: Evil That Men Do #1-3. #3 finishes with a cliff hanger and the review here also states that the writer can't wait for the next installment. Trouble is it looks as if there was no #4?!? Do you know what happened there? I am really intrigued and baffled.

Ask Marvel. I'm sure they have an excellent excuse! And next time you think about buying a Kevin Smith limited series... think carefully!

I was surfing your site for info on Spidey villians when I came across this disturbing piece of information. "The Molten Man was known for a good portion of his life as Mark Raxton, a lab assistant for Spencer Smythe (inventor of the Spider slayers), and the 'stepsister' of Liz Allen, a longtime friend of Peter Parker."

If s/he's the stepsister of Liz Allen then why's s/he called the Molten Man?

You mean, why not the "Flaming Female", or the "Burning Babe"? Err... because we goofed? Of course, I don't have any fundamental problem with cross-dressing super-villains. All those capes and robes, you have to wonder, eh?

From Jake

i wrote a book called Snake-Man and i wondered if i could get it to anyone like Stan Lee (the creator of spider-man) can you help?

Hey, cool. But... last month round at Stan's place, I showed him a couple of books I'd written - one called "Beetle-Man", and another called "The Amazing Worm-Man". He didn't think too much of either of them. Well, that's what he said. I reckon he was just planning to rip off my ideas and claim them as his own!

How can I find web site for Paradise Press, Inc. and info on the "Little Movers: series titles: Little Fire Engine, Little Train, Little Bus, Little Car? I have one and want the whole series for my grand children.

Well, you're not alone there! There are 16 Paradise books altogether, four sets of four. I'm looking for all of them! I have heard that they're sometimes seen in discount places like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and "Dollar Shops". And if anybody out there has access to a regular supply, please let me know...!
