Note: Season 3 covers the Sins of the Fathers storyline which began in May of 1996 through the beginning of Partners in Danger in 1997.

"Dr. Strange" (Sins of the Fathers Part I)

Peter's search for Mary Jane leads him to a mysterious cult led by a man called Brother Mordo. Peter suspects that all is not as it seems but, as Peter soon learns, nothing is quite what it seems in the world of Doctor Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts!

"Make a Wish, Part I" (Sins of the Fathers Part II)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Mark Hoffmeier, Elliot S. Maggin and Meg McLauglin.

Tired of Jameson giving Spider-Man the rap for all the crime in New York, Peter decides to give up the superhero business once and for all until he meets his biggest fan: a girl named Taina, whose fondest wish is to meet Spider-Man. After she restores his faith, Spidey decides to give Taina a tour on New York, Spidey-style. But, he doesn't count on Doc Ock spoiling their fun... Guest starring Madam Web!

"Attack of the Octobot" (Sins of the Fathers Part III)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Meg McLauglin and John Semper.

With the amnesiac Spidey under Doc Ock's control, it's up to Taina to rescue him. Trouble is, nobody will pay any attention to a little girl telling wild stories of the infamous Spider-Man. Can Taina, with the help of Mousie the cab driver, defeat Doctor Octopus and rescue Spider-Man?

"Enter the Green Goblin" (Sins of the Fathers Part IV)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Marty Isenberg and Robert Skir.

Harry's father Norman Osborn disappears after an explosion at his chemical plant. Spidey's search for his friend's father one way or another meets with complications, namely an airborne fiend who calls himself the Green Goblin!

"The Rocket Racer" (Sins of the Fathers Part V)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Doug Booth and Mark Hoffmeier.

While a gang of jet-pack wearing thieves run by Jackson Weele,an ex-pilot in a rampaging gyro-wheel plunder the city, Peter tries to deal with his alter-ego giving him competition with Felicia. Meanwhile, an good kid with a criminal record, Robert Farrell, tries to help his ailing mother by using his science-savvy and the gang's technology to arm himself as The Rocket Racer. Will the Rocket Racer return to his criminal past, or will he be an ally to Spidey? While Spidey's fighting crime, the mysterious "Jason Phillips" starts to make moves on Felicia...

"Framed" (Sins of the Fathers Part VI)

Story by John Semper and Mark Hoffmeier. Teleplay by Brooks Wachtel and Cynthia Harrison.

When wealthy industrialist Wilson Fisk takes an active interest in Peter Parker's future, Peter thinks his luck has finally taken a turn for the better. But, when Fisk sets Peter up, framing him for a federal crime, it soon becomes evident that Fisk is secretly the Kingpin! Guest starring Daredevil!

"The Man Without Fear" (Sins of the Fathers Part VII)

Story by John Semper and Mark Hoffmeier. Teleplay by Sean Catherine Derek.

Spider-Man saves Daredevil from the ensuing fire and learns the true identity of the Kingpin. Daredevil and Spidey decide to team up to clear Parker's name and foil the criminal mastermind...and the real culprit.

"The Ultimate Slayer" (Sins of the Fathers Part VIII)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Doug Booth and Mark Hoffmeier.

Alistair Smythe is transformed into a cyborg creature by Herbert Landon (last seen in the 2-part X-Men cross over in Season 2), mutant researcher now in the employ of the Kingpin. With their help, Smythe intends to become the Ultimate Spider Slayer. But they soon discover that Smythe has a mind and agenda all his own. Meanwhile, Peter discovers that Harry and Mary Jane are engaged to be married!

"Tombstone" (Sins of the Fathers Part IX)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Larry Brody, Marty Isenberg, Robert Skir, and John Semper.

Robbie Robertson is losing his son, Randy, to a gang of thugs lead by Tombstone. When this harder-than-stone hitman tries to use his history with Robbie to kill a story about his new boss, Alicia Silvermane, he runs afoul of Spider-Man. Both discover Robbie's bond with his child and his ethical resolve is mightier than super-strength.

"The Return of Venom" (Sins of the Fathers Part X)

Under the psychiatric care of Dr. Kafka, Eddie Brock has come to believe that Venom is a figment of his imagination. Then Baron Mordo tempts Eddie with reunification with the alien symbiote. Meanwhile, violent criminal Cletus Kassidy is arrested with the help of Spider-Man.

"Carnage" (Sins of the Fathers Part XI)

Baron Mordo and Dormammu help Eddie's cell-mate, mass murderer Cletus Kassidy become an alien symbiote. Kassidy dubs himself Carnage. Now with two powerful symbiotes at his disposal, Dormammu attempts to utilize the interdimensional portal to gain access to earth. But, when Carnage threatens Venom's beloved Dr. Kafka, will Venom turn the tables and side with Spidey? Guest starring Iron Man!

"The Spot" (Sins of the Fathers Part XII)

Written by James Krieg.

Ex-employee of Stark Industries, Dr. Jonathan Ohn, invents a portable interdimensional technology that accidentally makes him the living embodiment of a portal. Calling himself the Spot, he tries to steal money to fund his research. But his unstable invention has created a vortex that threatens to engulf New York. How can Spider-Man fight that?

"Goblin Wars" (Sins of the Fathers Part XIII)

Story by Robert Skir, Mark Hoffmeier and Marty Isenberg.

When Dr. Ohn's Time Dilation Accelerator falls into the wrong hands all the criminal minds of the city vie for the portal technology. Peter and Mary Jane are celebrating Felicia Hardy's engagement to Jason Philips when they overhear plans for a major heist. Once again Peter must leave Mary Jane only to discover the return of the Green Goblin!

"The Turning Point" (Sins of the Fathers Part XIV)

Story by John Semper. Teleplay by Marty Isenberg, Robert N. Skir, James Krieg and John Semper.

With the portal unit in the Green Goblin's hands, Norman Osborn baits Peter Parker to become Spider-Man to fight him off. Meanwhile the Green Goblin kidnaps Mary Jane and flies to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge... What next?
