Spider-Man Season 3 (1970) (Syndicated)
The third season followed on from the second artistically, but apparantly had a little more trouble getting to air. It was delayed, and eventually syndicated, airing in March 1970. A mix of quarter hour and half-hour stories were created. (13 episodes)

Episode List

"The Winged Thing/Conner's Reptiles"

Mar 22th 1970 - Really, these, along with "Rhino", are just poorly made rehashes of Grantray-Lawrence plots from Season 1. The Vulture is controlling a horde of vultures... Second Story - ...while instead of Dr. Connors turning into the Lizard, one of his reptilian pets makes the change as Dr. Connors experiments to enhance reptilian intelligence.

"Trouble With Snow/Spiderman VS. Desperado"

Mar 29th 1970 - An industrial accident creates a nuclear snowman which gets larger with each new snowfall, and Spider-Man must melt the beast.

Second Story - The historic cowboy Desperado steals rare artifacts, and Spider-Man must bring him to justice.

"Sky Harbor/The Big Brainwasher"

Apr 5th 1970 - Baron Von Rottenhaven tries to bring back the glory of World War I with his Sky Harbor, a dock for a fleet of biplanes.

Second Story - Mary Jane is invited to become the dancer at a trendy new club near Times Square. Peter Parker goes first to see her, but then realizes that the wealthy elite of New York are being brainwashed by the Kingpin through the guise of the club! (This episode has Captain Stacy appearing as a black-haired fellow with a pencil-thin mustache.)

"The Vanishing Doctor Vespasian/Scourge of the Scarf"

Apr 12th 1970 - Doctor Vespasian invents an invisibility serum and goes on a crime spree.

Second Story - A strange "pinwheel" light fills the skies of the theater section of New York with a hypnotic glow. Everyone falls asleep.

"Super Swami/The Birth of Microman"

Apr 19th 1970 - The Swami uses a movie projector which makes the entire city hallucinate. Spider-Man must use his own tricks to stop him.

Second Story - Professor Pretorious breaks out of jail and uses the Kingdom Come machine to shrink himself to micro-size in his attempt to explode an atomic bomb.

"Knight Must Fall/The Devious Dr. Dumpty"

Apr 26th 1970 - A brave knight robs from the rich, attacking criminals and stealing their booty right after they perform their robberies. But is he a moder-day Robin Hood, or merely an opportunistic hoodlum in a metal suit?

Second Story - Dr. Dumpty steals movie star Racquel Wells' jewels, and Spider-Man tracks him down.

"Up From Nowhere"

May 3rd 1970 - An alien submarine from the ocean's depths sucks the energy out of New York. Spidey finds himself battling a madman from Atlantis. Note that this, and "Specialists and Slaves" mark two of the four times that Ralph Bakshi recycled the Radiation Specialist - only adding some fins on top of the Specialist's head when he doubled as an Atlantean.

"Rollerama"

May 10th 1970 - Dr. Kurt Von Glutz unleashes giant living boulders on New York City. Spider-Man travels to the Land of Crystal Creation to stop the deadly rocks.

"The Phantom From the Depths of Time"

May 17th 1970 - Dr. Matter (aided by his servant Igor) uses giant insects with laser eyes to stun and capture innocent people. Spider-Man must find his island and bring him to justice. Note that this episode is one of the worst for recycling footage and glaring plot holes

"Revolt in the Fifth Dimension"

May 24th 1970 - Spider-Man gets sucked into an alternate universe where the evil Dementia 5 tries to steal a sphere containing incredible knowledge.

"Specialists and Slaves"

May 31st 1970 - The mad scientist The Specialist takes over a nuclear reactor and turns the people of Manhattan into slaves.

"Down to Earth"

Jun 7th 1970 - No description.

"Trip to Tomorrow"

Jun 14th 1970 - A little boy wants to become a superhero. Spider-Man weaves a set of true-life tales which send the boy scurrying back home to the safety of his family.
