Background

...And then this book does something that it hasn't done before. It puts a second story into the mix...

Story Details

  Marvel Team-Up (Vol. 3) #9 (Story 2)
Arc: Part 4 of 'Master of the Ring' (1-2-3-4-5)
Editor: Tom Brevoort
Writer: Robert Kirkman
Artist: Scott Kolins

Rick Sheridan's girlfriend wants to get freaky but Rick fell asleep...and unleashed Sleepwalker a creature who only exists when Rick is asleep. He flies around on his nightly patrols when he happens upon Black Cat. He asks her to expalin herself or he'll detain her and turn her over to the police.

Black Cat leaps for him but he quickly wraps her in a steel beam.

BWA-THOOM! It's that same explosion that we keep hearing over and over again. It arrests Sleepwalker's attention briefly. Briefly enough for Black Cat to slip away. If you pay attention, you can see Luke Cage and Daredevil on a nearby rooftop.

Sleepwalker monologues for a moment and decides to go investigate but then he begans to disappear. It seems Rick Sheridan was snoring and his girlfriend woke him up.

Titannus smile down at a beat up Tokyo. Seriously this place looks BEAT UP.

General Comments

I do like all the activity going on in New York. I mean jeez um crow! Spidey and Moonknight fighting Ringmaster, Punisher and Blade looking down on a failed drug deal, Daredevil and Luke Cage knocking out Stiltman, and finally Sleepwalker versus Black Cat. A lot can happen in New York at any given time with so many supers roaming about. This book is a good example of this.

Overall Rating

I'm giving this puppy a solid three webs. The story arc is decent enough to buy but also easy enough to live without.
