It seems like every marketeer worth his salt is getting into the Web 2.0 spirit
and trying to get Fans to contribute content to their Spider-Man 3 movie
promotional activities! Here's a few examples:
ReelzChannel is looking for serious Spidey fans to interview in Los
Angeles. If you're a hardcore Spidey fan on the West Coast, then see if you can
contact them via their Website.
AOL Moviefone is asking fans to submit questions for an upcoming episode
of "Unscripted: Spider-Man 3" featuring Tobey Maguire and Topher Grace - Spidey
and Venom. Find out more about how to make your
Contributions.
Also, Veeker.Com is working with Sony to give Spider-Fans the
opportunity to video their thoughts about the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie, and
post them on the Spider-Man 3 website.
They're looking for answers to questions like: What are you most looking forward
to about the movie? How does the trailer look to you? What is your favorite
scene in the trailer? What do you think of Venom? What about Sandman? How
about the relationship between Mary Jane and Peter?
The way it works is this:
- Use the video camera in your cell phone to video yourself or someone else
expressing yourself/themselves about Spider-Man 3; Pictures taken with cell
phones work too.
- Send the video or picture from your phone (via picture message) to:
sm3@veeker.com
But make it quick, MTV already did their show on May 1st, with fans
webcamming in to talk to the entire major cast - Toby, Kirsten, Topher, James
and Thomas. The movie is out in a two days time, so make the most of the last
couple of frenzied days of hype!
