Apparently, the reason for the reprint insert skipping Christmas and New Year's weeks was due to the lack of inserts put into the papers on those holiday weekends (it is not really understood why the weekend of January 7th was also skipped). So if you have been collecting this series, rest assured, that it is not over, and you should make sure to pick up your copy of your local Sunday paper that has been carrying it come January 14th.
