Speaking of April Fools... A rumour circulated recently, suggesting that an upcoming story Spider-Man storyline was to reveal that Uncle Ben was a child molester.
Given the child-abuse plots in Untold Tales (Tiny, a bully at ESU) and Spectacular Spider-Man (Flash Thompson), this wouldn't be out of nowhere. But... Uncle Ben?! This would be like Aunt May heading down to the Red Light district to get some cash on rent day.
Yeah, it turns out that this was a rumour planted by none other than Joe Q. himself. You have to admit, it was pretty far-fetched! I guess I'm pleased to see that Marvel still has a sense of humour, even thought it does verge on the brink of tastelessness in the subject matter.
