Runaways was originally launched as part of the 'Tsunami' of new titles in May 2003. It lasted eighteen issues before being cancelled. After five months of semi-intensive marketing, Runaways was relaunched in a second volume (which is the title we are currently reviewing). The comic has a devoted following from its fans, and has garnered significant critical acclaim. Oddly, it's never had the sales to back it up, which I find totally baffling. This is the best ongoing series Marvel produces. Period.
