The Pulse is the name of the Daily Bugle's Super-Hero supplement. Another Jonah Jameson concept, The Pulse aims to make a few bucks from covering the fortunes and gossip of Manhattan's spandex set while simultanously blasting them from the editorial column of the Bugle itself. The writer is Bendis, so naturally it features all his favourite characters - Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Ben Urich, Daredevil, etc.

The first story arc was a mostly independant Green Goblinstory, but recent issues have tied in with Secret War. It's not really clear what this book is trying to achieve, but it makes for pretty good reading most of the time. In any case, given the tight continuity links between Pulse and the New Avengers, this is basically a must-have for any serious Spidey collector.
