Following on the heals of the death and destruction that happened to Alpha Flight in the pages of New Avengers and the Civil War events, the remnants of the Canadian superteam is revived under the auspices of S.H.I.E.L.D. and paired up with up with a couple of U.S. heroes to help defend Canada's border from U.S. supervillains fleeing the Superhero Registration Act and the Avengers-lead Imitative.

The new team is lead by Sasquatch, and includes Beta Ray Bill, Shaman, a new Guardian, The Captain, and Arachne.
