This is another retro comic (like Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man) and Marvel Adventures: Fantastic Four that is aimed at re-capturing the younger market. As with the other Marvel Adventures titles, this book is targeted to appeal not only to the readers familiar with earlier incarnations of the Avengers, but also to savvy teenagers. With this title Marvel is completely abandoning any relationship with established Marvel continuity and establishing what just might come to be called the Marvel Adventures Universe. While other Marvel Adventures titles hewed close to mainstream continuity, this book features an Avengers line-up containing both Storm and "Giant-Girl", whom readers discover (in issue #13) is Janet Van Dyne, who in this continuity prefers to grow rather than shrink.
