The issue starts in the streets of New York. Jefferson (Spidey's Dad) is trying to get home, but the streets are blockaded. He jumps the barrier and argues with the SHIELD agents, who throw him in a van and send him to a detention area.

Spidey and Cap are on the roof of the Triskelion. Cap is verbally ripping into Spidey for wanting to join the Ultimates and the current 'war'. Spidey is trying to get a word in, when a quincarrier starts dropping towards them and firing upon their position. It turns out to be a Hydra attack, during the course of the battle, Spidey saves Cap's life twice and performs admiringly. At the end of the battle, Hydrra are defeated. Cap apologises to Spidey and accepts him onto the Ultimates.

Inside the Triskelion Spidey quickly calls his mum and reassures her that he is alright. Tony Stark then invites SPidey to come outside to be part of a press announcement with the Ultimates. Cap then announces that he is honored to be elected the new President of the United States!

In General...

An awesome, action packed story. The battle, which takes up the bulk of the issue, is chaotic, but clear. Larraz does an excellent job on art duties. Spidey comes across as capable, but not confident. He is out of his depth, but able to ride along and eventually triumphs. In reality, it still seems extremely unlikely that any sensible adult would want a kid like Miles involved in a wartime scenario. Either way, the storyline is going that way, so Cap had to be convinced somehow!

Overall Rating...

A excellent, all out action issue!
