Characters: Aunt May Parker

There's plenty of pages of godly happenings in Asgard, but as Spidey fans we're not really interest in that stuff. Let's get to the Spidey appearance which is the reason we're covering this book...

Aunt May is doing the "oh, I'm so sick and frail" thing, as Peter takes her to the hospital. While he's there, Jake (aka Thor) and Demetrius bring in an emergency patient, but then get into a scrap with Peter when he attempts to take photos of them. They sort things out, but are simultaneously called into action downtown... Tokkots (one of the Dark Gods) has beamed down to Midgard and is on the rampage.

Spider-Man and Thor battle Tokkots, as Aunt May, dear old lady, is dazed and confused as she goes looking to find where her poor fragile nephew ran off to. Oh, poor Aunt May, she seems to have wandered into the raging conflict. How tragic!

...to be continued.

In General...

I'm not a Thor reader at all, so I can't really comment on that side of the story other than to say that it seems competently done. But from a pure SpiderFan aspect, the presence of the newly returned pathetic Aunt May is enough to spoil any story, as well as putting me off my lunch.

Overall Rating...

The Peter/Jake and Spidey/Thor stuff is all done well enough to earn three webs, but Aunt May's drivel knocks it down to two. Sorry, Thor.
