This stencil book was part of a series of six or seven activity books produced by Funtastic for the NZ/Australia market back in 2002. All carried generic "Spider-Man" branding.

When the original Spider-Man movie was released later that year, many of the other book in this series were re-released with new covers (but with the same interior content and and the same ISBN). However, this Stencil didn't appear to get a "Movie" update.

This product is 8.3" x 11.7", and is about three eights of an inch thick. All of the "pages" (nine in total) are made out of cardboard rather than paper, and have holes cut out featuring Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Green Goblin or Mysterio in various poses.

In General...

The stencils don't contain a lot of detail. You get the rough outline and nothing more. Then you have a lot of work to do manually if you want a convincing Spider-Man image.

Overall Rating...

This book does exactly what it promises, no more and no less. It's a solid product which looks like it should last well. It serves a specific purpose, and is attractively packaged.

Three and a half webs.
