This sees the long awaited return of Crusher Hogan, the wrestler who Peter fought in Amazing Fantasy #15 - even before he made his first Spider-Man costume. Crusher is sweeping floors in a Gym, where the folks laugh at his (ficticious) stories of how he trained the young Spider-Man.

Man-Slaughter is the huge monster of a man who keeps the Gym's fighters in line - especially when they are forced to throw fights, and pursuaded not to look elsewhere for work. Man-Slaughter has had a little operation to remove his pain circuits - so when Spider-Man gets involved there is a pretty fair fight between the two. What happens to Crusher in the end? Read the story.
