Luke is waiting for Jessica who is meeting him for dinner. Luke is thanked by some fans when Jessica arrives. After discussing life as Avengers and possible hero names for Jessica, Jessica agrees she should be a full time Avenger and should set an example to their daughter Danielle. Suddenly we see Ms. Marvel trying to stop an aircraft crashing outside, she fails and there’s an explosion. Luke runs out to help and sees Dr. Doom. Jessica phones the rest of the team for help. Ms. Marvel wakes up to Dr. Doom fighting Cage, she tells Cage she was just flying by when the ship came crashing down on her. After a brief battle, Doom is attacked by Jessica which allows Cage to finish Doom off. Cage notes that the last time he fought Doom it was different. Cage takes Doom's mask off and it’s revealed that they have been fighting a Doombot, a robotic replica of the original. The rest of the team arrives. The Thing realises it’s a Doombot and destroys its operating system so it can't reboot.

Later Victoria Hand tells them something’s happening in Latveria, (the country Dr. Doom rules) but she cannot say what due to national security. Jessica has decided to be a full time Avenger, and is not going to use the name Power Woman. The story ends with everyone discussing the name Power Woman.

In General...

After greatness of last issue Bendis slows things right down with “Date night”. While yet again nothing much happens the story flows well. The 3 members of the team have a brief battle with a Doombot and Jessica agrees to be a full time Avenger. This issue feels like an issue of Alias or The Pulse in a New Avengers cover, which is fine if you love Luke and Jessica. Personally I read New Avengers to see the team in action, not read about Luke and Jessica but that’s just me.

Overall Rating...

2 webs as again nothing much happens and the tease of Dr. Doom being in this issue was a waste.
