Background...

Every now and again, Marvel likes to bundle up some of their recent cover art in a magazine format. They did it for a bit in the early 1990's and then they've picked up the habit again in the mid/late 2000's. This "New Avengers" Poster Book features some of the greatest Avengers and New Avengers covers from recent years.

If you remove the staples and put aside the outer magazine wrapper, you'll end up with 18 sheets of paper with magazine-centerfold-sized posters, which is around 11" x 16". Each of those is double-sided, so that makes 36 posters all in all, though of course you'll have to chose a side for each one, you can't have them all on your wall at the same time.

There's plenty of covers from New Avengers #1, through to New Avengers #40. There's variant covers in here, plus covers from New Avengers: Illuminati, Avengers Classic, Marvel Adventures Avengers #1, and more.

I'd have to go with New Avengers #7 as my personal favorite, but that's only because David Finch draws Spider-Woman so hot he has me reaching for a glass of water just in case the magazine catches fire.

In General...

Six bucks, 18 posters. That's 30 cents per juicy Marvel poster. In these tough economic times, you can't ask for fairer than that. Four webs.
