Background
OK, let's be honest. Ka-Zar owes a little something to Tarzan. A doctor, and an English Lord, he is also known as Ka-Zar of the Jungle. Making his home in the savage land with Shanna the She-Devil, he rides his sabre-tooth tiger, Zabu, and makes guest appearances nine times out of ten that anyone from Marvel Universe visits the Savage Land.
He had his own series in the 70's or 80's, which ran for a couple of years. Spider-Man was featured a couple of times, and in fact Ka-Zar came to learn of Spider-Man's true identity during that time. He has fought enemies such as Gog, Kraven the Hunter, Stegron and the terrifying Chicken-Cow.
Lately, he has been taking a lot of aspirin after dealing with Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth. Its not that Deadpool roughed Ka-Zar up or anything, he just got tired of hearing Wade Wilson's constant chatter when he arrived in the Savage Land to keep a bio-weapon out of H.Y.D.R.A.'s hands. Actually, that should be plural as the bio-weapon turned out to be the zombified head of the Zombie Universe Deadpool.
